It’s the best time of the year, aka the time of year when Trader Joe’s has Jingle Jangle in stock, and the time when my family group chat can’t stop talking about it. For the uninitiated, Jingle Jangle is a 22.7-ounce tin of dark- and milk-chocolate-covered pretzels, Joe-Joe’s sandwich cookies, popcorn, peanut butter cups, and M&M-like candies.

As the Trader Joe’s website describes, it’s “an assortment of a whole bunch of things that taste terrific, bathed in chocolate” — and my whole family is obsessed. We go through two or three tins when we’re together for the holidays.

My family doesn’t have a Trader Joe’s in our city (yet… manifesting…), but last year, my dad drove two hours and went to multiple Trader Joe’s stores to stock up on tins of the chocolate-covered snack mix for 50 — yes, really! — of his coworkers.

This year, it’s the 10-year anniversary of Jingle Jangle, so I’m spreading the chocolate, pretzel, popcorn, and peanut butter gospel. If you haven’t tried (or gifted) a tin of Jingle Jangle in your life, you seriously need to — or you need to be the one to gift it to someone and introduce it into their life (especially if they don’t live near a TJ’s!).

It’s such an easy gift to pick up while you’re already grocery shopping. It’s just $10, it’s festive, and you can rinse out the tin and reuse it for storage or gift-giving when you’re done. The tin comes with about 40 or 50 chocolate-covered goodies inside, so it’s perfect if you need to give a gift to an entire family or if you need to whip out a quick dessert while hosting.

Here are a couple photos my friend, who I introduced to Jingle Jangle, sent me — a dispatch from St. Louis — Jingle Jangle as far as the eye can see.

And this year, Trader Joe’s is jingling and jangling all the way with a few spin-offs: The company has Jingle Jangle Pretzels, which it first launched in 2023, and it also has more snack-size Jingle Jangle bags (which I’m particularly excited about) and Jingle Jangle for dogs.

What is Jingle Jangle for dogs, you ask? Pretzel-, star-, bone-, and moon-shaped dog treats flavored like peanut butter and bacon. (Both delicious, if you ask me, but I think I’ll stick with chocolate.)
