As any Trader Joe’s devotee can tell you, part of the benefit of shopping at the grocery chain is the ability to knock out your grocery and your weekly flower shopping all at once. With spring in full swing, Trader Joe’s shoppers can now pick up milk, eggs, and gorgeous, pale pink peony stems all in one fell swoop.

Instagram content creator @traderjoes_flowers was among the first to share the news that peonies are officially back on shelves at Trader Joe’s stores after she found some available at her local Concord, California location in a May 8 post.

“PEONIES ARE HERE!!!!!” she wrote. “They are $9.99 each for five stems!”

“Peony season is my favorite 😍❤️👏,” one Instagram user commented.

“!!!! I know what I’m doing today,” another wrote.

Peonies from Trader Joe’s are in such high demand that once shoppers saw @traderjoes_flowers’ post, they couldn’t stop speculating when their local store will have some in stock. One shopper was also relieved at the price tag. Last year, she said she paid $12.99 for them at her North Carolina location. This year, the peonies are selling for $9.99 each for five stems.

One person commented on the post with the running emoji, and I’m about to do the same!

The peonies pictured in @traderjoes_flowers’ post hadn’t bloomed yet, but as she pointed out in the comments section, shoppers who purchase similar flowers won’t have to wait too long to enjoy them in all of their glory.

If you want to make your peonies last as long as possible, My Peony Society says peonies do best at home if you cut off the stems at an angle, remove the lowest leaf, and put them in a lukewarm vase of water. You can also add a spoonful of sugar to help keep the water fresh, avoid withering, and make your peonies last for as long as possible.

You can pair your peony flowers with Trader Joe’s peony blossom candle for a full-home scent experience.
