Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: My studio apartment is nestled in a stunning colonial revival townhouse in the highly coveted Central Park historic district. Renovated in 2020, this stunning space boasts a unique exposed brick feature that adds character and charm to the room. With a cozy and minimalist decor, this studio apartment offers a warm and inviting atmosphere. The abundance of natural light that floods the apartment from its south-facing windows creates a bright and airy ambiance. I decided to be very intentional with the furniture and plants that I use in the space. The plants and furniture add a personal touch and elevate the charm of my studio apartment.

I’m a risk management consultant at a top global consulting firm, actor, model, singer, and content creator with a passion for fashion, media, health and wellness, music, arts and travel. I am a Morehouse College graduate with a BA in Economics with Minors in Spanish and Chinese. I am based in Manhattan, New York City, and have also worked and traveled to many countries including Spain, France, and China. I am fluent in English and Spanish, also conversational in French and Mandarin

I identify myself to be someone who is relaxed, appreciates quality, an old soul, enjoys a bit of character and simplicity. This is reflected in my home clearly through the the mixture of old and new. The exposed brick brings out my warm side and old soul nature. The renovated apartment reflects my appreciation of quality and functionality on a day to day basis. The furniture choices were very intentional and bring out my relaxed side. I truly strive to create a home where you don’t feel uptight and can feel like you are at home as soon as you walk in.

Describe your home’s style in 5 words or less: Historic, Charming, Warm, Chic, Inviting.

What is your favorite room and why? My favorite room is the entire apartment because it is a studio that has been designed with intention to give each area a specific use and vibe. Although it is one open space, each section serves a different purpose. This intentional design allows me to truly feel comfortable and relaxed in every area of your home. Additionally, the cohesive feel of the space allows me to move freely throughout your home without feeling confined to a single room.

What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? The last item I bought was my white cubed bookshelf. I was very excited about this purchase because it acts as a “wall.” In my mind, it breaks up the energy of the office area and bedroom and allows me to feel like I’m truly in my bedroom.

Any advice for creating a home you love? My advice would be to follow your spirit and instinct with the home. Know what you want and trust your gut. Also, take your time in designing your apartment. There is no rush. Lastly, in a studio be sure to feel proud of each item you bring into the apartment.

Thanks Aaron!
