Urban Outfitters Launched Their Spring Collection, and Every Piece Looks Like Modern Art
There’s something about winter (probably the whole spending a lot of time indoors part) that makes you feel ready for a decorating refresh. It could be as simple as moving a few pieces around your home, swapping out your bedding, or switching up your sofa pillow cases. Or you could make major moves and bring in a new anchor piece or two. If that’s the case, I’m going to suggest you check out Urban Outfitters’ new spring collection. We’re talking 100 plus new pieces for the bedroom, living room, and beyond with a special emphasis on small spaces.
The pieces span four collections—Serene Space, Rustic Retreat, Eclectic Home, and Modern Studios. Items in the first two collections are more minimal, tonal, and sculptural in form, while the later two lean into maximalism, color, and even a little bit of kitsch. Affordable-ish design has come a long way, folks. Leather, jute, colored glass, capiz shell, concrete, abstract molded metal bases, and full-length mirrors outfitted with neon LEDs? These are remarkably trend-forward elements that you don’t have to go to a custom showroom to get.
Each collection certainly has a few standout pieces. Take a look at the whole collection on the Urban Outfitters website—and see what we’re digging for spring below.
Isobel Bookshelf
Built-in arched niches and bookcases are trending, but frankly, we can’t all afford to cut into our walls. Faking architectural interest with paint is one easy, rental-friendly option, but this stunning shelving unit takes that idea a step further by makes those arched forms functional.
Buy: Isobel Bookshelf, $699.00
Olivia Room Divider Screen
This jute-clad folding screen looks like a custom piece—without the custom price tag. Use one to section off a shared space or for a little extra privacy in an open room.
Buy: Olivia Room Divider Screen, $329.00
Mesa Patchwork Leather Bean Bag Chair
I had a bean bag chair in my room growing up, but it looked nothing like this. Buttery, worn-in leather, a boho chic paneled design—you’ll never be mad at lounging this low to the ground again.
Buy: Mesa Patchwork Leather Bean Bag Chair, $599.00
Lucia Credenza
Acacia wood has met its match in jute paneling, resulting in a credenza that’s equal parts minimal and boho at the same time. Whether you put this lovely piece in a dining or living room, it’ll up your storage space in style.
Buy: Lucia Credenza, $599.00
Bettie Glass Coffee Table
With its wavy base crafted out of sheet metal, this Noguchi-inspired coffee table literally looks like a work of art. The glass table top keeps the look light and airy, making it a great option for a small space.
Buy: Bettie Glass Coffee Table, $399.00
Stassi Side Table
I actually have thought to myself: I wish someone made a side table that looks like the Dolores Planter from The Sill, which I have on my desk and love. Clearly Urban Outfitters has ESP, and I’m not mad at that. For this price, I dare you to find a cuter stool/side table hybrid.
Buy: Stassi Side Table, $99.00
Yvette LED Floor Mirror
So you want a Ettore Sottsass’ Ultrafragola Mirror? Me too. But I’m not about to spend a small fortune on something non-essential. And I don’t think you should either. Not when we can all get the look for less with the Yvette LED Floor Mirror, which is less than a tenth of the price.
