The wallpaper revival isn’t going away anytime soon. This brand new collection from Flavor Paper adds some fresh new looks to the wide world of wall covering.

Fempower! is a new collection designed exclusively by women, that celebrates womanhood. Five different artists created unique designs that explore the shared theme with strikingly different results.

“More than half of our designers are women, but it’s the first time that we focused on an all women-designed collection,” company founder and creative director Jon Sherman told Brownstoner. “We didn’t give them any rules or guidelines. It was really in their creative realm to make something they would want to represent them.”

The five artist included in the project produced work that is funny, frank, challenging and also just really pretty. Some of the pieces are more interpretive or politically charged, while others went a slightly more literal route.

Natalie Gwen Frank said of the women depicted in her design Power, My Dear, “these are women who dance, paint, walk their jaguar, read, put on gloves and dress up in expressions of their sexuality and power.”

Brooklyn based Flavor Paper both screenprints and digitally prints its paper and offers custom creations as well. Along with the special Fempower collection, they have a line of renter friendly removable wallpaper called EZ Papes and as soon as they make a removable version of any of these, I will be covering my entire apartment in feminist wallpaper and never looking back.
