These Are the 9 Pieces (Under $200!) You Need Now From West Elm’s New Summer Collection
As a longstanding enthusiast of all things floral, colorful, and nature-inspired, I live for summer furniture collections. A fresh crop of my favorite motifs and materials (Cane! Rattan! Wallpaper prints!) come out to play, and there’s always so much inspiration in these assortments. West Elm’s latest summer line (available now) is no exception, catering to a handful of my favorite season-friendly trends — and then some.
In fact, speaking of trends, the collection nods to nine specifically that are projected to show up everywhere in the upcoming weeks — from go-tos like citrus-colored accents and light-as-air linens to sleek black decor (yes, even for summer) and minimalist, earthy dinnerware. Plus, coming out of a fairly cooped-up COVID-19 year, there’s a major emphasis on outdoor living as well, with plenty of rugs, pillows, and furniture to perk up your porch or patio. Because we all deserve more al fresco action in the warmer months ahead, no?
On top of that, the brand also unveiled another exclusive collection, La Mesa, bred from a collaboration with over 500 artisans across Mexico. Each of these unique, handcrafted pieces honors the country’s cultures and craftsmanship, highlighting techniques like basket weaving, glassblowing, and talavera, a traditional pottery method. Just as fitting for the season (and all the time, really), you’ll find vibrant embroidered pillows, table linens, speckled glass votives, and so much more — which help provide incomes for the local artists, too.
Ready for some summer (decor) lovin’? I rounded up a few of my favorite new West Elm finds for any style of home or room, and they’re all under $200.
