I’ve Owned This Rattan Walmart Coffee Table for Years, and It Still Gets Me So Many Compliments
As someone with a taste for expensive things (but without the budget to match), I’m always on the hunt for big-brand dupes or high-quality products with budget-friendly price tags. I live in an apartment that’s not my forever home, so I’m hesitant to invest in pieces that might not make it to my next place. But of course, I still want my home to look great, so finding that sweet spot between affordability and style is key for me.
Because of this, I’m constantly browsing stores like Wayfair, Walmart, Target, Amazon, and TJ Maxx, along with DTC brands like Cozey and Quince, searching for the perfect finds. Some purchases turn out great, and others not so much, but I usually manage to score something I love. A few years ago, I found this WYD Rattan Wood Mid-Century Coffee Table from Walmart, and it’s held up incredibly well (plus, it looks amazing in my living room). And because it’s under $200, I have to share: It’s well worth the purchase!

What Is the WYD Rattan Wood Coffee Table?
This WYD Rattan Wood Coffee Table is made from real wood, with a top that beautifully showcases its natural wood grain, instantly giving it a more expensive look. The bottom features a rattan storage shelf, perfect for holding books, remotes, or anything else you might need (although I personally keep it empty, but that’s just me). It can even work as a console table for a TV, if you wish. The mid-century design includes a rounded top with a gallery edge and four sturdy legs.
The table arrives in a slim package and requires minimal assembly — you just need to attach the legs and shelf, which is easy to do on your own and doesn’t take long. It’s also compact, measuring just 3.29 feet long and 1.42 feet wide, so it’s ideal for smaller apartments or living spaces.
Why I Love the WYD Rattan Wood Coffee Table
I’m usually not a fan of furniture you have to build yourself. More often than not, it ends up looking exactly as cheap as the price you pay for it, which I typically don’t like. However, I have a couch that sits low to the floor and needed a coffee table that was small in size and wouldn’t overpower the room. This allowed me to go for something more affordable than usual, and this Walmart find (with an identical version available on Amazon) was a perfect match.
It sits low to the floor, is compact, and offers just the right amount of surface space for holding water bottles or the occasional plate. And to my surprise, it doesn’t look cheap at all. I won’t lie: You can tell it’s mass-produced, but it meets my needs without being an eyesore. In fact, I’ve received tons of compliments on this coffee table — it fits my space perfectly!
For under $200, this table has lasted me for years, doesn’t show marks or rings from drinks, and has been a fantastic addition to my home. Plus, it’s lightweight, which makes it easy to move around when I need to vacuum. If you’re looking for a coffee table for a small living room, I highly recommend this one — it’s been a great addition over the past couple of years!
