Whether you have a cat, dog, or another animal at home, it’s guaranteed you’ll have to clean up after them. Plus, to ensure the safety of your pets, it’s necessary to choose cleaners with ingredients that aren’t harmful to you or your furry, scaly, or feathery friends. With two dogs at home, I’m always keeping an eye out for pet-safe products to use around the apartment. That was especially true during the weeks I was housetraining my puppy, Chai. I needed cleaners that could tackle both stains and odors, and it was a long process of trial and error before I found one I really liked. Since I wanted to make sure my apartment continued to smell fresh as soon as anyone walked in, I was game to try anything that was safe and sounded like it’d do the trick. My favorite of the bunch was by far the ZOOP Pro Pet Stain & Odor Eliminator.

What is the ZOOP Pro Pet Stain & Odor Eliminator?

ZOOP Pro Pet Stain & Odor Eliminator is an enzyme cleaner that helps to clean up a variety of pet messes from urine to vomit. The 32-ounce cleaning spray has a concentrated all-natural formula that can be used on hard and soft flooring, with the exception of untreated wood, suede, silk, leather, and specialty wool fabrics. It can also be used on furniture (including mattresses), car interiors, litter boxes, and bedding. For stains, you first blot up as much of it as you can before saturating the spot with ZOOP. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then blot up the excess cleaner and allow the area to dry for 24 hours. For odors, you saturate the spot with the cleaning spray and allow it to dry, no blotting required.

Why I Love the ZOOP Pro Pet Stain & Odor Eliminator

When using cleaning solutions at home, I’m hyperaware of how safe they are to use around my dogs. Call it overprotective, but I’d rather be safe than sorry. ZOOP‘s plant-based formula is free from toxins and super effective, it also doesn’t have that strong chemical odor that comes with other cleaners. Dare I say it actually smells… good? It has a light, refreshing fragrance that doesn’t make me dread using it, which was a major plus when I needed to constantly have it on hand while housetraining my puppy. Another factor that made it stand out from other enzymatic pet stain and odor removers is that the dogs actually didn’t return to soil the same places on the carpet. That was the best proof of ZOOP being the real deal. Not only did this cleaner get rid of any odors and stains, it prevented future messes and kept my floors spotless. It doesn’t get better than that!
