Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: I live in a small studio apartment in trendy Silverlake. The building was built in the 1920s, and has so much charm. I am an RN who loves to do DIY/interior design on the side. My apartment has amazing natural light, so I chose bright colors and lots of plant life.

I am originally a New England girl who moved to California and embraced a bohemian/bright/eclectic style. I love having lots of plants and using bright colors to give spaces definition and character.

Describe your home’s style in 5 words or less: Eclectic & mid-century with lots of greenery

What is your favorite room and why? “Living room,” because it can fit a good amount of people, and rare to fit a full size couch and living area in a studio apartment. I choose a bright yellow couch as a statement piece, and its my favorite piece of furniture!

What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? Coffee table! I wanted a natural wood coffee table that gave an organic feel to the living room.

Any advice for creating a home you love? Take your time! You immediately want to fill the space, but it takes time to figure out what works in your new home. Especially in small living spaces, every square inch needs to be thought out.
