When I saw this rotary grater from Amazon, I let out an audible sigh of relief. For under $30, I could spare my clumsy hands from being shredded along with whatever ingredient I’m prepping. I’ve been avoiding grating everything from cheese to vegetables and chocolate to whole spices, because I end up bandaged by the end. If you’re like me, or perhaps just dread the time it takes to grate pretty much anything, you’re going to love that this gadget exists, too.

It’s labeled as a cheese grater, but this little device can take everything from zucchini and carrots for cakes (or salads, if that’s your thing) to ice-cold butter for … well, cakes … and get it shredded cleanly, quickly, and safely. Ingredients go in the grater’s top vessel, and with a little pressure from one hand (and the included attachment!) and a gentle crank of the rotary with the other, you’ll have what you need grated, shredded, or milled in seconds.
