“Toiletscaping” is never something I thought I’d do, but here we are. I’ve been watching people transform their bathrooms — more specifically, their toilets — for months on TikTok. One user even got over 8 million likes on their video, adding everything from a fuzzy toilet seat cover to a foot massager to their setup. It looked like a throne fit for royalty by the end!

While I’m not about to go that far, I was intrigued by one product in the video: flower-shaped toilet gel stamps. At first, I wasn’t sure what purpose they served beyond adding a little cuteness to an otherwise ugly and boring bathroom staple. That alone was enough to tempt me, but when I found out that these stamps also dispense cleaning solution and freshener with every flush, I was sold.

What Is the KILOSTEP Toilet Gel Stamp Kit?

I’m familiar with the concept of toilet-cleaning stamps — some people have even put them inside their trash cans, which I think is genius — but it wasn’t until recently that I found out they come in cute shapes. The function is the same: After using the plunger-style dispenser to stick a few to the inside of the bowl, flushing releases a fresh fragrance and some phosphorus-free cleaning foam. The latter is said to reduce dirt and residual urine alkali.

This set includes 60 stamps, and each color is meant to release a different scent. Blue is English Pear and Freesia, purple is Orchid and Lavender, pink is Shangri-La, green is Lily, and yellow is Lime and Basil Citrus. You can mix and match the colors, and the brand says you can add an extra two or three stamps for a stronger scent in addition to the couple you already have stuck to your toilet’s walls.

The brand also says that each stamp is built to withstand about 150 flushes, so you should get about 15 months of use out of the kit before you run out.

Why I Love the KILOSTEP Toilet Gel Stamp Kit

Despite seeing them across TikTok time and time again, I had my doubts about these gel stamps. Would they make my toilet harder to clean? Would they fall off too soon? Neither question was enough to ebb my curiosity, especially since they’re under $20. At the very least, they’d temporarily make my bathroom look cuter.

My expectations weren’t exactly high, but after using them for two weeks, I’m totally impressed. I didn’t overload my toilet bowl with too many flowers — it would definitely have been impossible to clean it then. Not to mention, I don’t want to waste the entire kit in a single go. I decided eight was a solid enough number, and I stand by it.

It took two weeks for two stamps to fall off. For context, I don’t flush excessively, so it definitely falls a bit short of the brand’s 150-flushes promise. Still, it has delivered in so many other areas that I don’t really mind. For one, it really does make my bathroom smell fresher, lessening the need for room spray. I’ve noticed the scent weakening over time, but I expected as much. I’ve been using the pink color, and so far, there isn’t really any other way to describe its scent than “clean.” Again, not really a huge loss.

The best part has been how much less I find myself needing my toilet brush. I live in an old building, and my toilet requires regular cleaning as mineral deposits build up. Since putting these little flowers into place, I’ve gone days longer without seeing visible grime. In fact, it took about a week and a half to spot it — which is a huge improvement and saves me cleaning time. Oh, and since they’re spaced out enough on my toilet bowl, it’s easy to get my brush around the flowers.

As nice as the stamps are when it comes to cleaning, I love them even more because they brighten up my bathroom in an unexpected way. I would buy them again in a heartbeat! Life’s too short not to put gel flowers on the inside of your toilet bowl.
