Amazon’s Gorgeous Micro Cabinet Makes Bathroom Shelving Obsolete
Traditional bathroom storage doesn’t always cut it for those with smaller spaces — or those with strange layouts (hello, bathtub in kitchen!). If you’re lucky to have a bathroom vanity cabinet, you’ll likely hide most of the personal care items in there — otherwise, you’re stuck dealing with over-the-toilet shelving, which can easily look cluttered (and bulky!).
Leave it to creative Instagram users to find a now-viral way to repurpose a storage unit from Amazon that’s small enough to fit cramped bathrooms while keeping personal items out of sight. The best part? It looks so chic that your bathroom will feel instantly more luxurious.
It’s Actually a Nightstand — But Works Better in Your Bathroom
“This slim storage cabinet fits right next to the toilet so you always have what you need within arm’s reach,” Chelsea from @groundedinneutral wrote in a recent Instagram caption.
The sleek two-drawer side table is under 8 inches wide, making it the perfect size to tuck next to your toilet for extra toilet paper, hygiene products, skincare, makeup, and more.
The narrow cabinet is actually designed as a nightstand originally. Specifically designed to fit into tight nooks, this piece is made from solid rubberwood and is shockingly simple to assemble. Just twist on the legs, and you’re ready to start using it.
It stands just under 24 inches tall, making it the perfect height for easy access. Plus, its spacious top can even be used to hold perfumes, candles, or decorative items that make your bathroom feel even more chic.
One reviewer shared that they love this nightstand for “dressing up [their] downstairs bathroom,” writing: “We had an old cabinet with fabric drawers that had become ratty looking in our downstairs bathroom. This little cabinet will hold everything from that old one and looks so much nicer next to the sink down there.”
Wayfair sells a similar space-saving nightstand that also comes with two drawers and an open shelf at the bottom. This one is a bit less expensive than the Amazon version because it’s built with MDF, but the black finish is just as sleek.
Switching out an over-the-toilet shelf for a narrow nightstand will make your bathroom look like something in a swanky hotel. You’ll love how stylish and functional it is — you may never go back to those over-the-toilet storage units again!
