I cover all things shopping, from cleaning and organizing finds to decor and furniture that’s worth every penny. Your home says a lot about you, so I’m always curious about the things people choose to bring into their space — and aim to make it easier to find those things! I used to think of an air purifier as a “nice to have” more than a necessary home appliance — but when I moved into my old, stuffy-smelling apartment it was suddenly non-negotiable. That being said, if I was going to bring one into my space it needed to look good. I have limited floor space as it is, and most purifiers looked too bulky and disrupted the design aesthetic I’ve worked hard to cultivate. So when I got the opportunity to test the Auli 2.0 ahead of its launch, I was immediately on board. It doesn’t look like an air purifier at all!

Quick Overview

A Quick Look at the Auli 2.0

The Auli 2.0 is essentially an air purifier and floor lamp combined in one high-performance, modern design. It’s equipped with a triple filtration system that quietly removes 99.97% of airborne contaminants from areas up to 612 square feet — from dust, pet dander, and pollen to lingering odors and cooking smells. The lamp is dimmable and features a built-in nightlight.

Design Features That Stand Out

The Auli 2.0 is hands-down the most stylish air purifier I’ve come across; it looks like a designer floor lamp. The actual air purifier is cleverly concealed within its fluted faux wood base, which gives the lamp a modern, sculptural appearance. What’s more, it makes a strong aesthetic impact without requiring much floor space. Measuring 52.4 inches high and 10.9 inches wide, it’s slim enough to fit in the narrow space between my dresser and my bedroom door.

I also appreciate the Auli 2.0’s easy-to-use controls. Other air purifiers I’ve tried had over-complicated displays like finicky, hard-to-read touch screens, or, worse, they forced me to download an application on my phone. The Auli 2.0’s lamp and air purifier can be controlled one of two ways: with the included remote control (that connects to the lamp via Bluetooth) or with the two rotary knobs on the cylindrical base (one controls the air purification, and the other adjusts the lamp’s brightness). Easy.

How It Performed

I positioned the Auli 2.0 in my bedroom, which, because of its close proximity to my kitchen, is where a lot of cooking smells seem to linger. The room doesn’t have the best ventilation either, so it can feel musty. The Auli 2.0 ended up solving both issues, and then some.

Shortly after I powered it on, the Auli 2.0 indicated the room’s air quality (green is good, yellow is okay, and red is bad). Then its triple-filtration system got to work, banishing the weird smells in the air within a few hours. The best part is that I could hardly tell it was on; it’s that quiet. Really, many air purifiers claim to be silent, but this one is truly unnoticeable. And after living with it for almost a month, I can say it’s made the air in my bedroom smell and feel fresher. While it’s compact enough for my small bedroom, I love knowing that it can handle purifying the air in a larger living space, too.

It didn’t stop there; the Auli 2.0 made my bedroom look fresh, too. Its clean lines, modern aesthetic, and stylish fluted exterior are the furthest thing from an eyesore — the air purifier is more of a stylish home accent than a cumbersome appliance. What’s more, its soft, warm glow helped me break up with my big light, and the fact that I can adjust the brightness from the comfort of my bed feels like pure luxury.

I haven’t had to replace the filter yet (Auli recommends changing it every three to six months), but it seems straightforward enough. Just pull the leather pull tab (chic) to remove the air purifier’s fluted cover and swap out the filter inside.

What we love

  • The modern fluted exterior
  • You can’t tell it’s an air purifier
  • The 360-degree, triple-filtration purifier banishes smells, smoke, dust, pet dander, and more
  • It doesn’t require an app
  • The easy-to-use controls and included remote
  • The clear air quality indicator
  • It’s so quiet I hardly notice it at all

Good to know

  • The filter should be replaced every three to six months
  • It has a built-in nightlight that’s great for kids’ rooms
  • It’s perfect for large rooms (but compact enough for small spaces)
  • It’s on the pricier side

Should YOU Buy the Auli 2.0?

If you’re in the market for a new air purifier, but are looking for something that’ll elevate the look of a room (or even if you need a new floor lamp), I think the Auli 2.0 is a fantastic choice. The $419 lamp is an investment, for sure, but you may end up paying the same price or more for a purifier and a beautiful floor lamp separately. With the Auli 2.0, you’re conveniently getting both in one super-chic, super-powerful design. Who doesn’t love a two-in-one?
