From the glamorous chandelier to the pattern play throughout the space, it isn’t your typical baby room by any stretch of the imagination. Even though the space looks very high-end, I love that Ruby’s mom Rachelle was able to save some money by searching sites like Craigslist and Etsy for budget-friendly versions of the pricier pieces that she loved.

Let me let you in on a little secret…filling your home with beautiful artwork can be easier and cheaper than you think. Just give a paint set to the smallest artist in your life and let them have at it. Add a frame, create a gallery wall, or just tape it to the wall willy nilly – it matters not. The important part is to find a place that is deserving of its inhabitance.

We’ve been able to transfer the drapes, crib and artwork from a tiny bedroom in Hong Kong, to a sunny room in Sydney, Australia, and now it’s reincarnated once again in the San Francisco Bay Area.
