It’s a new year, and it’s a good time to refresh (and dust off) your bar cart. Luckily, TikTok user Marissa Malerba (@malerbanoutfitters) shared her setup for her bar cart, and there’s a surprising addition you might want to steal: a mini-fridge.

On the bottom shelf of the cart, Malerba has a Frigidaire mini-fridge from Amazon. But fridges this size are often used for this fridge has become associated with storing skincare products, so what’s hiding inside? After a viewer inquired about its use in the comment section, Malerba shared that it stores her Hello Kitty-themed shot glasses.

Chilled glassware is a foolproof way to upgrade your cocktail and preserve its cool temperature, but a pre-chilled glass may also make the drink taste better. Maybe your at-home bartending skills will benefit from this tip.

If you’re searching for a bar cart that has a vintage look to it but without the price of an antique item, Malerba’s is also from Amazon and has tempered glass, two shelves, and convenient wine bottle racks. Retailing for $150, the cart has garnered over 100 positive reviews for its sturdiness, mid-century design, and value. And there’s something about it that easily resembles a rare find at an antique store.

Let’s get into the glassware: Malerba confirmed that a majority of the cart’s drinkware were thrifted, but some were purchased on Amazon. Seconds into the video, she places disco ball-shaped drinking cups on top of a copy of Linda Doeser’s “The Cocktail Bible.” Disco balls have been seen anywhere and everywhere lately — including on Christmas trees, houseplants, and windowsills — but they’re not going anywhere anytime soon, and make a sparkly addition to a bar cart.

Among the colorful glassware, body-shaped glasses, glass straws, and Z-shaped martini glasses, one standout of Malerba’s collection is the set of pink stemless martini glasses. Although they may seem like regular glasses at a first glance, the collaboration between Dragon Glassware and Barbie Dreamhouse is the latest product to contribute to last year’s Barbiecore decorating trend. The entire collection bundle may be sold out online, but most of the products — including espresso cups, champagne flutes, and coasters — are available on Dragon Glassware’s website.

To complement the aesthetic of the cart and its colorful glassware, Malerba added six prints from Jack Meets Kate of vibrant drinks including an Aperol spritz, daiquiri, and espresso martini.

According to everyone in her comment section, the contents of this bar cart are a want , not a need.
