Of all the furniture in my home, I can’t say enough how much I love my bed. It’s sturdy, cozy, and not a hassle to make up. My mattress is firm yet soft, and I’ve got a variety of pillows that I can pick and choose from depending on whether I’m sleeping or lounging. Because of all those variables, bedding is super important to me, especially since I’m a hot sleeper. I’ve found sheets and comforters that I love, and I mix and match to my heart’s content to find the right combination that’s breathable and comfortable all night. I’m not necessarily picky about my pillowcases, but at the same time, I’m not impressed by many. I put them on my pillows and go to sleep without thinking one way or the other about it. That’s why when I find a really good one, it stands out. I had the opportunity to try the Beaute Living 22-Momme Pure Mulberry Silk Pillowcase that I found on Overstock, and it’s one that I’m glad I took a chance to test.

If you’ve been to Overstock to search for any bedding, you know that there are a ton of options to pick from, and silk pillowcases aren’t the exception. My attention was drawn to the  Beaute Living 22-Momme Pure Mulberry Silk Pillowcase because of its status as a High Satisfaction Item. After taking a deeper dive into the product details and reviews, I was sold. It’s made from 22-momme 100-percent pure mulberry silk and the pillowcase is available in three sizes and six colors. Why is that important? Because the size of a silk pillowcase can make or break the experience of having one, and a variety of colors makes them a little less boring to pick out. So often, I’ve come across silk pillowcases that are limited to neutrals, and while that’s convenient, it’s not very fun. Now, Beaute Living’s pillowcase doesn’t have the wildest hues, but pink and blue is nice to see among white and ivory. Another plus is that the pillowcase has a zipper enclosure, which keeps your pillow contained, even if you toss and turn at night.

I got my Beaute Living silk pillowcase in Ice Blue, and it’s beautiful in person. The fabric is soft and smooth, and the color is charming and elegant. The standard pillowcase was a near-exact fit around my Classic TrueTemp Pillow, which I greatly preferred. I don’t mind if my pillowcase is a little oversized in most cases, but I love how sleek pillows look in fitted silk covers. The pillow keeps me cool and the pillowcase makes it even cooler, which is a win for me as a hot sleeper. I’ve used many silk pillowcases in the past because they’re good for my hair (sometimes I can be irresponsible and skip tying it up or wearing a bonnet), but it’s nice waking up without creases on my face from bunched up fabric. I turn from my stomach to my side in my sleep, which shifts most pillowcases around unforgivingly, but not the silk ones, and that’s what’s kept me coming back to them time and time again. I wake up fresh-faced, without horrible bedhead, and the night sweats are even kept at bay.

As far as pricing goes, the Beaute Living Pure Mulberry Silk Pillowcase is comparable to the average cost of silk pillowcases, so it ranges between $30-$70 depending on the color and size that you choose and if it’s on sale. If you’re in the market for a silk pillowcase, whether as a gift or for yourself, this is one that checks all of my boxes and I happily recommend it!
