This 2-in-1 Comforter Set Is the Cozy Upgrade My Bedding Needed (It’s So Luxe!)

Don’t tell my basic white comforter I said this, but I’d been thinking about replacing it with a plush, cozy bed covering for a while now, especially with colder weather on the way. The only issue is, bedding isn’t exactly cheap and the warmest options often come at a steeper price. At least that’s what I thought, anyway, until I tried Bedsure’s new GentleSoft 2-in-1 Comforter With a Blanket Set. 

I’d seen Bedsure ads on my social media feed before and have heard great things from AT editors, but never tried any of the brand’s bedding myself. So when I had the chance to test this new launch, I was all in. I didn’t expect it to effectively end my search for hibernation-worthy bedding, but it did. If you’re in the market for a cozy new comforter that isn’t a splurge, read on for my honest thoughts. 

Bedsure’s new launch combines the brand’s best-selling GentleSoft blanket and its Prewashed Plain Comforter in an innovative, layerable design that snaps together to create one ultra-cozy covering. The seven snaps keep the layers from shifting through the night and allow you to detach the blanket if needed — you’re essentially getting two bed coverings for the price of one.

They’re made of Bedsure’s signature GentleSoft fabric, a polyester material that touts a soft, warm feel. It also claims to be easy-care: keeping its fluffiness after frequent laundering and most impressively, drying fast (within 60 minutes flat!). Given my history of waiting long hours at the laundromat for my old comforter to dry, I was especially keen to put this claim to the test. 

Aesthetically, the comforter and blanket make a good-looking pair. The latter has a luxurious, faux fur-like texture with a stylish, channeled design, while the former has a classic, cotton-like look and feel. The set includes four matching shams and comes in four colors (white, black, bronze green, and natural, what I tested) and is available in queen and king sizes. 

Bedsure’s snap-in-place comforter set solved my biggest gripes with duvet covers: They’re a pain to set up, and they’re constantly moving around. With this, I was able to attach the blanket atop the comforter in just a few snaps (all by myself!), and it didn’t come apart through the night, either, despite my usual tossing and turning. If you have a similarly complicated relationship with duvet covers, then you know this is a huge deal. 

While my flimsy old comforter left me wanting more coverage through the night, the Bedsure 2-in-1 set felt significantly cozier and was surprisingly lightweight, too. It’s still kind of warm in NYC, so I prefer sleeping with the comforter on its own for now, but find myself reaching for the fuzzy blanket on mornings spent bed-rotting (or “hurkle durkle-ing”) while blasting the AC. I know I’ll be layering them up once temperatures drop, though, and I appreciate having a bed covering that can do both!

Whereas washing and drying my bedding used to be an all-day affair, the durable Bedsure set lived up to its quick-and-easy care claims. I’ve only washed and dried mine a handful of times so far, but have found that they’re just as soft as they were when I got them: no migrating filling, no matted or shedding fibers, and no pilling yet, either. 

And yes, the Bedsure 2-in-1 comforter and blanket set looks just as good as it feels. I opted for the “natural” color way, a soft neutral beige that puts the pairing’s complementary textures on display. Styled all together with the fuzzy shams, the set made my bed look fancy and sophisticated, like something you’d find at a five-star ski chalet. Considering the fact that it’s only $108, I’d call that a win.
