Ever buy something you love, but don't need? Instead of buying and hoarding, why not justify your consumerism and find another use for those items you just couldn't pass up? Today we're looking at some super stylish bath mats that are worth thinking outside the loo for. Repurposed, these pieces would make great entry way rugs, under-the-desk rugs, wall hangings, and even pillows. Or… if you're feeling crazy, you could just use them as bath mats. You heard it here first!

1. Francois Bath Rug, $33

This bathmat from Birch Lane has great texture with a neutral color palette that will work in pretty much every room.

2. Tufted Dot Bath Mat, $49

Similarly, this option from Urban Outfitters provides a heavy dose of texture in a neutral color palette with a bit more bohemian flare in the fringes.

3. Quiet Town Topanga Cotton Kilim Bath Rug, $62

We love the playful nature of this Quiet Town Topanga Cotton Kilim Bath Rug from West Elm. If you like its flat woven abstract geometric look but aren't jiving with this unique color palette, check out the two-tone black and white version.

4. X Base Bath Mat, $20

Another versatile option, the X Base Bath Mat from CB2 has a neutral palette and medium pile with a simple modern pattern, making it just right for adding softness and style to any room without screaming, "look at me I used to be a bath mat."

5. Mineral Bath Mat, 372

One of our bolder choices, this agate Mineral Bath Mat from Amara is so much fun it just might be worth it's $372 price tag. If nothing else, you can justify this purchase as an art investment.

6. Tassled Diamond Woven Bath Rug, $25

You can't have a round up of stylish home decor without Target making it on the list. To be honest, we could probably dedicate an entire post to stylish bath mats from Target alone. This Tassled Diamond Woven Bath Rug by Opalhouse is currently a standout favorite for its moroccan flair and cheerful color palette.

7. Nahla Bath Rug, from $295

Though it's another pricy option, we couldn't overlook the Nahla Bath Rug from Restoration Hardware. It's chic, classic, and, at $295, it's no surprise the quality is top notch. If you don't think of this as a bath mat, it's actually not a bad deal in comparison to their other rugs.

8. Ivory and Gray Woven and Tufted Tribal Bath Mat, $20

While it's great on its own, we can't help but see this shaggy global goodie from World Market hung on the wall or draped over a chair for a layered maximal/boho look.

9. Round Bath Mat, $25

Another versatile basic that doesn't scream, "plop your wet feet here," this jute Round Bath Mat from H&M would look great on any floor in need of some added texture.

10. Betsy Bath Mat, $48

If you like a circular shape but want something more colorful, the Betsy Bath Mat from Anthropologie is a plush party for your feet (or your head—can someone please make me a pillow out of this?). The pastel blue & mustard color palette and knotted shape gives it an adorable vintage aesthetic.

11. Barvalla Bath Mat, $15

The Barvalla Bath Mat from IKEA has more of a carpet-like texture than most high pile bath mats. It feels more durable and less absorbent, making it a nice addition to high traffic areas, like entryways. If green isn't your thing, this one comes in shades of brown as well.

How have you repurposed your bath mats?
