Decorating a room is kind of like picking out an outfit. You’re pulling an assortment of pieces you love to represent your personal taste. One of the main differences, though, is budget. You can buy a whole head-to-toe ensemble, accessories and all, for less than, say, the cost of a brand-new nightstand alone. And, honestly, some of the prices attached to even the smallest furniture or decor pieces can feel like the biggest decorating deterrent.

That’s why I took it upon myself to scour the home scene for some of the best furniture and decor under $100 — and was pleasantly surprised by the number of luxe-for-less offerings. You’ll find some of my favorite picks below, from lamps to headboards, that prove you don’t have to compromise style for savings.

World Market
$79.99

World Market is a treasure trove of trendy, budget-friendly pieces — especially rattan ones. Case in point: this sculptural lamp shade, which looks straight out a designer catalogue, and packs a pretty, floral-meets-boho punch. Center any space around the unique fixture, whether it’s hanging above your dining room table or topping off an arched floor lamp.

Amazon
$89.99
was $98.99

This may be one of my favorite Amazon furniture finds I’ve found, thanks to the impeccable design and less-than-$100 price tag. Seriously, lookalikes of this mid-century-modern-inspired piece could set you back hundreds at a vintage store. There’s no better opportunity to bring home the low-slung, clean-lined look than with one (or three) of these high-quality, walnut-hued accent chairs.

Target
$4.99

Three words: Target faux houseplants. The superstore unsurprisingly reigns supreme in terms of affordable decor, and that includes artificial greenery so realistic-looking it’ll make you do a double take. For just $4.99, count on this 7-inch potted piece to become a permanent side table fixture, no green thumb necessary.

Walmart
$95.00

I’ve always associated upholstered headboards with a luxurious look, and many have the price tag to match. Not this Walmart iteration, though, which marries comfort, style, and a $95 cost (for a queen size). Its classic contrasting coloring can work well in any bedroom, not to mention it easily affixes to your current bed frame.

H&M
$59.99

Love the frameless asymmetric mirror look but don’t want to break the bank? Enter H&M. This smaller-scale accent has major wall-hanging potential above a dresser, leaning against an entry table, or even mixed in with your art collection.

Amazon
$81.99

Small-space dwellers, prepare to strike gold (er, brass) with this double-duty lamp/side table hybrid. Cozy up any corner — from the living room to the bedroom — with the adjustable accent, which features a sturdy marble base and pivotable head for lighting on demand.

Target
$25.00

There’s hardly a prettier way to hop on the checkerboard bandwagon than with this muted resin box. For just $25, you get storage and a decorative display, all in one. Play with stacking multiple, or stick to just one for stashing any knickknacks.

8 / 14
Walmart
$65.99

It’s hard to beat a stylish desk that’s less than $70. This WFH must-have is modern, minimalist, and spacious, but still compact enough to upgrade your bedroom or living room office situation. Plus, you can choose from a handful of matte leg colors to pair with the scratch-and spill-resistant tabletop.

Etsy
$39.99

It’s always a party with this bestselling, disco-ball-inspired bestseller from Etsy. Available in several sizes, starting at 4 inches (on sale!) for $23.35, it’s the smile-inducing hint of sparkle you never knew your space needed. Talk about the perfect plant backdrop, too.

10 / 14
Urban Outfitters
$89.00

Another well-designed take on checkerboard, this honey-hued rug adds fun contrast and pattern to any room. That also goes for the other equally enticing tones — cheery yellow, anyone? Pages of positive reviews are the cherry on top of this durable shaggy trim piece, which starts at $49.

11 / 14
Walmart
$39.99

Not only does this versatile three-leg table nail the mid-century modern look without breaking the bank, it’s also a true interior workhouse. Count on it for a tiny living room coffee table, sofa side table, plant stand, or even a nightstand. Not bad for less than $40!

12 / 14
H&M
$24.99

Sculptural stoneware screams sophistication, which makes this $25 vase feel like even more of a steal. Beautiful on its own or with your favorite blooms, the uniquely shaped textured decor has no shortage of styling potential.

Amazon
$69.99
was $79.99

Amazon home brand Harmati hits the best of both worlds: contemporary, compact furniture without the big-box retailer price markups. As part of their current well-curated collection, this rattan side table looks way more expensive than it actually is, plus it doubles as a boho storage solution. Flank your bed with one on each side in either black, teal, or walnut.

Urban Outfitters
$49.00
was $59.00

Maximize vertical storage space courtesy of this cool, budget-friendly take on leaning bookcases. Tight enough to even fit in the kitchen (or that spare corner you don’t know what to do with), the bamboo fixture comes with four tray-style shelves to hold plenty of novels, plants, cooking oils, and anything in between.
