There’s a Britney Spears-Themed Monopoly Coming Soon

When it comes to game night, it’s hard to beat classic crowd-pleasers like Monopoly. These days, there’s a Monopoly board tailor-made to just about everyone’s tastes, including “The Sopranos,” and “Friends” to the late painting extraordinaire Bob Ross himself.

Recently, some eagle-eyed fans noticed a fun new addition to Monopoly’s existing lineup, and it’s paying tribute to a bona-fide pop icon. According to fan site World of Monopoly, a Britney Spears-themed game is hitting shelves in October, and it’s sure to be as cheeky and irreverent as the singer herself.

So far, the game isn’t yet available for preorder, though fans can set up an alert at ToyWiz to be notified when stock opens up. A glimpse of the box includes three photos of Spears throughout her decades-long career, including one from her debut album, “…Baby One More Time,” another from her 2001 self-titled album, “Britney,” and yet another from her long-running Las Vegas residency.

Naturally, fans are clamoring for more info about the game, but there’s little available information about it online as of right now. There will surely be fun nods to Spears’ life and legacy sprinkled throughout, perhaps such as a chance to visit the Circus Starring Britney Spears in honor of her 2009 tour, a fragrance bottle play piece in celebration of her reported $100 billion perfume brand (yes, that’s billion with a B), and a snake in honor of her legendary 2001 MTV Video Music Awards performance of “I’m a Slave 4 U.”

Spears herself is a fan of the game, sharing on social media back in 2014 that her favorite game piece is the top hat — perfectly fitting given that she’s been known to wear a top hat during performances and at awards shows.
