I cover must-have home products, sales, and brand launches. Prior to working at ATM, I earned my degree in Culture Writing and Criticism from NYU, and I interned at publications like CNN Underscored, TV Insider, Texas Monthly (I'm a Dallas native), and more. When I'm not writing, I'm usually at the movies or browsing in a thrift store.

When you live in a teeny-tiny studio apartment like mine, you’re always looking for ways to freshen up the space. However, I tend to avoid swapping out furniture. It took ages to land on the layout, and I’ve finally gotten it to a point where every inch is maximized to its fullest potential. So, refreshing via furniture is out. Now, when I’m itching to give my space a makeover — especially when the seasons change — I turn to bedding.

Your bed can make or break your space, whether it resides out in the open in a studio or behind closed doors in a bedroom. As much space as it takes up, a gorgeous, put-together bed ties the rest of the area together. A quilt is key to achieving that effect. Not only does it do wonders visually, but it also serves as an essential cozy layer in the winter. I added a new one to my setup that brightens up my entire apartment, with its cottagecore-style scalloped edges, pink hue, and super soft feel. The Quilted Coverlet from Chairish’s collaboration with Kassatex is so beautiful that I don’t see it moving from my bed anytime soon.

What Is the Chairish x Kassatex Quilted Coverlet?

Chairish and Kassatex are a dream team, with the former bringing its experience in curating high-end vintage home furnishings to the table and the latter its track record of making luxury linens. The collection is a follow-up to its initial launch a few years ago, which included bath towels of a similar style. “I’m not lying when I say these are the prettiest bath towels I’ve come across, ever,” said Senior Style Editor Blair in her review.

With its new line of bedding, the brands have carried over the whimsical colors and shapes of its bath collection. The wavy edges have a contrasting hem next to the pink, blue, and white colorways — which can be mixed and matched with the bath items, I should add. The result is a blend of playfulness and elegance, with a hint of vintage inspiration. The construction is just as elevated as its appearance, consisting entirely of breathable cotton voile and detailed with hand stitching. Between the top and bottom is interior cushioning for added comfort.

Why I Love the Chairish x Kassatex Quilted Coverlet

As you can see from the photos below, the quilt that sat on my bed before was of the more basic variety. I still love it, but I decided that I’d had enough of the darker tone, what with how dreary it is outside. The Chairish x Kassatex quilt is its polar opposite in terms of style (though it shares a comfortable, lightweight feel. It pairs well with my thicker down alternative comforter.) The scalloped edges are just as cute hanging off of the side of my bed as I thought they would be. It’s so adorable that I wish I wasn’t forced to keep the other side of the frame flush against the wall!

The light pink shade — fitting with Valentine’s Day coming up — has made the rest of my small studio significantly lighter and more cheery, which is something I’m always trying to do since I hardly get any sunlight through my window. The border, color, and slightly imperfect stitching — the lines aren’t perfectly straight for a more crafty feel — blend well with the rest of my vintage-style decor. With the matching sham to top it all off, my new bedding breathed new life into my space.

It’s also worth pointing out that although a full-size quilt is not available, I took a chance on the queen-size one, and it has worked wonderfully. The sides are just long enough to keep all of the bins I store under my bed out of sight, and I like the look of the folded-over top side, which draws more attention to the whimsical border. What’s more, it washes beautifully, too!

If giving your space a facelift is on your 2025 to-do list, then this quilt from Chairish and Kassatex’s collab will certainly get the job done, in my experience. Studio apartment or not, I bet that once you compare your setup before to how it looks after, you’ll be glad you splurged.
