IKEA Has a Genius $4 Idea for Hiding Your Out of Season Clothes and Bedsheets, In Plain Sight
I am a huge sucker for cleaning and storage hacks. From using door hanging shoe storage for my vast collection of gift wrapping and crafting supplies to sneakily hiding my out-of-season clothing in slide out boxes under my bed, I’ve tried it all. So, when I heard that IKEA has the ultimate hack for hiding your extra linens and bedding in plain sight, I was all ears.
The IKEA website Ideas section is a fabulous exploration of novel ways to use everyday items for storage, decorating, and organizing to help people to truly make their home a reflection of their personality. And they recently posted a brilliant idea for hiding linens in plain sight:
Fold your out of season or unused linens and bedding into neat squares and stuff them into decorative pillow throw covers. Talk about genius!
Who doesn’t love to have a pile of fun throw pillows on their sofa or bed? And now, with this fun hack, we’ve all got one more excuse to dive into accessorizing living spaces with pillows. Imagine retiring your duvet for the summer, but stuffing it into a cute pillow instead of an already-overpacked closet.
With more than 200 pillow cover designs to choose from on the site, there are definitely amazing ways to hide your extra stuff while simultaneously updating your décor.
According to IKEA, “We don’t believe in perfect homes. We believe in homes that are a perfect reflection of the people who live inside. Where everything looks the way you want it to, works the way you need it to, and just generally makes you feel good – without costing a fortune.”
