My idea of a perfect spring afternoon involves going for a stroll in the park, setting up a blanket under a tree, and cracking open a book. Actually, most of my favorite activities involve being among trees, which makes a lot of sense — research suggests that spending time around trees does wonders for your mental health. When I considered this from my shady reading spot one day, it seemed only natural to launch an ode to trees on Apartment Therapy.
