Why settle for a blah beige bathroom when you can easily add a pop of color (or several) to your setup? If you’re unsure how to transform your bathroom into a luxe-looking setup, I’ve got you covered. Check out the 20 vibrant bathrooms below and get ready to be inspired by these bright ideas. Whether you go full-on saturation or make just a subtle splash, getting ready each morning will be way more fun — I promise!

1. Rainbow stripe backsplash

Why introduce just one pop of color when you can incorporate practically all of the colors of the rainbow into your bathroom? Blogger Nicole Q-Schmitz painted these festive stripes on the sink wall herself, and they really take her vanity area to the next level. She even added coordinating rainbow box molding elsewhere in the bathroom, too!

2. Moroccan-inspired magic

There’s no need to call in a pro to rethink your tile situation. The bathroom in this Massachusetts home received a colorful upgrade in the form of stick-on tiles. Paired with embellished fabrics and favorite plant babies, these temporary flourishes now evoke memories of a special trip taken to Morocco and enliven the space in a way plain white tiles never could.

3. Colorful curves

Blogger Tasha Agruso of Kaleidoscope Living also brought a bespoke rainbow design into her bathroom. This setup proves you don’t need to cover your walls with color entirely to make a fun, vibrant statement. Come to think of it, a rainbow is actually a pretty easy shape to freehand as well, if you don’t like to tape your paint projects.

4. Rad rabbits

Designer Jean Liu made this bathroom come to life with a few key accessories and a fun wallpaper print — can you see the subtle colors and spot the bunnies in the repeat? Abstract artwork, a bouquet of fresh flowers in a striped vase, and a painterly hand towel bring bold, colorful notes to the otherwise pretty neutral fixtures and finishes. There’s no need to go overboard on accents when you can source a few statement making showstoppers as shown here.

5. Dose of sunshine

Blogger Brittni Melhoff of Paper and Stitch transformed her rental bathroom into a space she truly loves, thanks to some yellow striped removable wallpaper and clever DIYs. Even if your bathroom is just a part of a temporary home, it most definitely deserves some love, and a dose of color’s an easy way to do it.

6. Paint-free pizzazz

If you’re unable to paint your bathroom but still want a technicolor look, take a cue from this San Francisco apartment. This setup proves that a bold shower curtain, bright artwork, and a colorful woven rug can make a concrete and white scheme vibrate with color, even when full walls aren’t part of the decorating equation.

7. Royal touches

Even if you prefer a classic black-and-white color palette, you can still add some pizzazz in the form of painted accent walls, as designer Beth Diana Smith did in this tiny powder room. Purple complements these neutral shades wonderfully and adds a regal touch, which you can play up with brass lighting.

8. Bold tile style

Say hello to a checkered look! The owner of this Buenos Aires apartment decided to think outside the box and introduce a conversation-starting tile pattern into his bathroom. Not only is the red-and-black color combo unexpected, laying the checkerboard pattern on the diagonal also adds even more surprise to the space.

9. Calming blues

Light blue is always a go-to hue for the bathroom; it’s both calming and versatile. Here this soft shade shines on cabinetry and wallpaper when paired with copper fixtures in blogger Tanya Watson of Dans le Lakehouse’s space. When in doubt, always go with some form of complementary colors, since they rarely disappoint.

10. A mix of everything

To add a bit of subtle color to your space, mix and match a bunch of different patterns. In this New Orleans home, palm leaf wallpaper plays nicely with a boho rug and shower curtain. Keeping other accessories to a minimum prevents the small space from looking too busy.

11. Cheery accent wall

Designer Blanche Garcia’s own bathroom makes a splash with a green tile accent shower wall. You can still keep a bathroom looking nice and sleek without forgoing vibrance; colorful patterned tiles are a wonderful way to add some personality, and sticking to just one feature wall will (whether that’s your shower surround or on your sink wall) cut down your total costs, too.

12. Sweet seating

Be right back — I’m hopping into this Long Island home’s tub and never leaving. If your space allows it (and if so, I’m jealous!), incorporating a colorful chair, throw pillow, and a large plant will add tons of life and coziness to a traditionally utilitarian room.

13. Flower power

Adding instant color and charm wherever you put them, floral prints are always elegant in a bathroom. Designer Clara Jung of Banner Day Interiors proves that point here, jazzing up a modern vanity and mirror combo with a teal and white floral wall covering.

14. Budget-friendly bliss

Blogger Kate Dryer of Kate Decorates barely spent over $100 on her kids’ Jack & Jill bathroom makeover, which is a majorly impressive feat considering she painted the vanity, installed wall shelves, purchased new accessories, and much more. The completed space is soothing and kid-friendly without leaning too young, and I’d say that’s because the powder blue she chose feels so serene and tranquil. It doesn’t hurt that she repeated it throughout the room either, so the space really feels cohesive.

15. Peppy palm wallpaper

If you have a special print or painting, why not hang it in a place you’re bound to see it everyday? This Ontario bathroom is full of punch, and I’d say it’s all due to the lush wallpaper and coordinating artwork, which features similar pops of green.

16. Pink perfection

Blogger Emily Murray of Pink House Living didn’t shy away from making her bathroom match the rest of her home, which features all kinds of pops of pink. Using waterproof plaster, she created the glam shower stall of her dreams. The bubblegum color takes center stage, due to its saturation and the absence of other shades throughout the space, save a little black and gray.

17. Majestic mural

All of the bathrooms in this Pennsylvania home are pretty darn bold and cool, but I especially love the unique mural in this powder room. The earthy tones pair wonderfully with the wooden vanity and brass accents. If you’re looking for instant color without much effort, let a readymade peel-and-stick mural do the heavy lifting.

18. Twice as nice

Blogger Kelly Mindell of Studio DIY shows us that mixing reds, oranges, greens, and yellows can really make a splash! Just because you choose one bold color for shower tile doesn’t mean you can’t go bright on your floors, too. Spice up your space in two ares for a dose of color that’s twice as nice!

19. Swell swirls

If bold hues aren’t for you, don’t worry. Try a fun wallpaper pattern or get creative with paint if you can. Let the squiggly design in this Ohio condo be a source of inspiration.

20. Favorite things

This LA apartment is bursting with color, so it’s no surprise the bathroom is pretty funky, too! If space allows, make use of open shelving to display a colorful collection. Succulents, crystals, or even just vibrant nail polishes are all fair game.
