This Miami Condo for Sale Is Serving Up “Golden Girls” Vibes Galore
A luxe condo in a Miami high-rise for sale is hardly noteworthy, but one particular rotunda is taking the internet by storm, especially among “Golden Girls” fans. This $530K Zillow listing features a slew of enviable amenities, but it’s the home’s decidedly Miami decor scheme that has social media fans joking that it’s as if “Blanche Devereaux came back to life as a condo” — a peek inside and you’ll immediately understand why.
The two-bedroom, three-bath abode includes 2,320 square feet of living space with both city and waterfront views, offering immediate access to the bay beneath, as well as plenty of recreational activities within the building. The 1975 build looks pretty standard at first glance, but it’s the unexpected splashes of bold color that are delighting pop culture fans, who are comparing the kitschy decor not only to the beloved sitcom, but to other famous movies and TV shows, too.
Off to the side in the home’s main living area, there’s an additional living space that is draped head to toe in pink, save for the mirrored ceilings. The home also has a pink bathroom, while the primary bedroom and bathroom are almost entirely decked out in shades of green.
Plenty of social media users are calling it their “dream home,” with one Twitter user noting, “I don’t know what this style of 1980s maximalist glam that is unique to solely Miami and LA is actually called but we need to bring it back.” One user jokingly asked if the condo is “the summer home of the Power Rangers,” while another asked, “has anyone made a cosmo and wanda joke yet?” referring to the titular Fairly OddParents, known for their signature green and pink aesthetic. Another added: “This is where Elphaba and Glinda run away to in a world where Wicked ends differently.” Yet another said: “That pink room is Jeannie’s Bottle and just missing a few pillows.”
The home certainly radiates Miami vibes, with one commenter on Instagram writing: “This is the way I think everyone lives in Miami.” And while it would certainly work in plenty of places in pop culture, there’s no denying that everyone’s favorite fictional funny ladies would fit right in. There might not be a full lanai, but they could certainly share a slice of cheesecake or two out on the balcony together.
