If there’s one piece of bedding I adore, it’s a duvet cover. Having a duvet setup is great for so many reasons. From the ease it brings come wash day to the opportunity it allows you to quickly swap out different styles at the drop of a hat, I’ve been #TeamDuvet for years now. That being said, there are some things I don’t love about duvet covers, namely having to store extra bed linens and fussing with putting it on after the wash (yes, I know about the hack, but still.)

So recently, I’ve been on the hunt for a comforter. But not just any comforter, the comforter. One that’s stylish enough to sit on its own. One that’s cooling enough to last this hot-sleeper through the night. One that’ll turn my bed into a fluffy cloud. Now, that might not seem like I’m asking for much, but my search was harder than I expected. Then I came across the Company Cotton Classic Sateen Comforter from The Company Store. Reader, I’m fully #TeamComforter again.

What Is the Company Cotton Classic Sateen Comforter?

So what’s so special about this comforter? Let’s start with the material. Made with a blend of rayon from bamboo and combed cotton sateen, this comforter is soft, elegant, and cool to the touch. Next, there’s the design. Covered in stitching made to look like the duvet is covered in button-laded tufting, it’s actually all stitchwork, making this comforter look great but remain lightweight. Lastly, there’s the color options. Available in an array of cool neutrals (including a stunning blue and sage), the color picks only add to the style of this comforter.

Why I Love the Company Cotton Classic Sateen Comforter

The first thing that stuck out to me about this comforter was the button-tufted look. Typically, I’ve found myself having to choose between a printed comforter (prints are not my preferred bedding style) or a plain Jane version that seriously lacks some personality. However, this simple design choice makes it look so much more elevated so I knew I had to make it mine.

As I unboxed it, I was pleasantly surprised to see how soft and cool it felt to the touch (a big plus for this hot sleeper). I immediately placed it on my bed — in love with how fluffy it was, too — and took a step back. This comforter is stunning. The only thing left to do was to see how I slept through the night. As I slipped under the comforter, I was immediately wrapped up in cooling bliss. In fact, I was able to wrap myself up in it and sleep comfortably through a recent heat wave! My duvet setup is officially retired.

Available in six colors (I opted for the Tarragon) and four sizes, the Company Cotton Classic Sateen Comforter comes in at $224 for a queen size comforter. While definitely an investment, I think it’s more than worth it given the fact that with it I won’t need to pick up a new duvet cover anytime soon or swap it out come the winter months. So if you’re ready to try what I can confidently call one of the best comforters around, give this one a go. You may just find yourself on #TeamComforter again, too.
