Costco’s New Sweet and Salty Treat Is the Ultimate Nostalgic Snack
Lately I’ve been making my rounds about the Costco bakery in order to satisfy my sugar cravings. Picking up items such as their confetti sugar cookies and lemon blueberry loaf cake usually does the trick, but every now and again, my cravings switch up and I find myself in the mood for something not just sweet, but also savory. I usually find myself in luck, as Costco doesn’t just score high with their delicious baked goods, but also with their wide selection of snacks and candies.
As I’m always on the hunt for new items to try out, recently as I scrolled through Instagram and checked one of my favorite Costco-centered accounts, @CostcoBuys, I found an item that caught my immediate attention: the Edward Marc Chocolatier’s Orange Dream Almonds.
Simply put, the snack is a combination of a roasted almond covered in orange cream. The same orange cream you’d find on a Creamsicle served by the neighborhood ice cream man. It’s a perfect mix of sweet and savory, and the ultimate snack for adults wishing to reminisce on their childhoods.
This isn’t a pairing that I would immediately think would go together, but I do love almonds, and did love orange Creamsicles as a child. So maybe, just maybe, Edward Marc Chocolatier might be on to something.
Be sure to grab yourself a 32-ounce bag of the Orange Dream Almonds next time you visit Costco. With a price of just $14.99 a bag, I’ll probably be grabbing two or three bags myself. And if you’re not a Costco member you can visit the Edward Marc Chocolatier website for a list of other retailers and store locations.
