Costco Is Selling the Cutest Outdoor Gem That’s Perfect for Storage and Entertaining

Transforming your backyard into a private oasis is the easiest way to feel like you’re on vacation all year long, from picking out new outdoor gems to weatherproofing the furniture you have. If you want too amplify your at-home tropical getaway vibes for a fraction of the cost, you’ll want to head to Costco right now. The warehouse club is selling a luxe-looking outdoor bar with all the special features of your favorite resort’s beachside lounge, and all you need to do is whip up a batch of margaritas in its sleek and modern interior and exterior to feel like you’re on summer break in your own home.

The Suncast Cabana Entertainment Shed is basically the personal tiki bar of home entertainers’ dreams. Made out of sturdy black and gray resin with steel reinforcements, the weather-resistant yet stylish hut — which measures a little over 8 feet in width, 7 feet in length, and almost 7.5 feet in height — features a split panel in the front that you can lift up to create a canopy (as well as an opening for your guests to order their summer drink of choice). Two sliding doors and windows add light and ventilation whenever it’s needed.

Meanwhile, the bar top area in the front, which can seat three to four people at the counter using regular 30-inch barstools, is perfect for holding your beverages and food. While Costco’s kit includes two matching gray barstools with steel legs, you can also put your own personal twist on the bar setup by leaning into the vacation vibes with a trendy rattan black-and-white woven bistro set or even add a subtle pop of color with a minimalist olive green resin set. 

Inside, there’s an interior countertop with adjustable shelving where you can just as easily whip up piña coladas as you can prepare appetizers for a summer barbecue. It’s also the perfect place to store your coolers away from the hot sun (as well as other backyard and poolside accessories). 

There are a couple extra shelves in the back (which can hold up to 50 pounds each) for storage or beach bar-inspired decor, depending on your needs. Unfortunately, the shed isn’t wired for electricity or plumbing, making it a dry bar, but there’s an opening in the back if you want to run a mini fridge or a blender’s cords through to an outlet. Plus, there’s plenty of space to add a nice cooler, an ice bucket, and cans and bottles of mixers for your drinks.

While you can buy the Cabana online at Costco if you’re a member, if you don’t want to become a member since you don’t live near a Costco, you should know it’s also available on Wayfair’s website for the same price of $1,899.

In addition to calling out its “unique, fun, and innovative design,” several happy owners noted that one of the best parts of the Suncast Cabana Entertainment Shed is that it’s not open to the elements. It’s easy to close down the bar and shut the lockable door, whether it’s for the night, a rainy day, or for an entire winter season. Plus, the steel frame can hold “heavier snow loads,” with one shopper even revealing that it stood up to a tree falling on it during Hurricane Helene. Another person also said the “fun” bar doubled as “great storage for our pool floats, corn hole boards, and patio furniture cushions” and was easy to customize. They shared, “Adding a TV, lighting, fridge, and the shelving make it the perfect addition for entertaining by the pool.”
