I have officially banned large, overhead lights in my home. I cringe anytime it’s an absolute necessity to turn the “big light” on. The light feels harsh and reminds me of an office building or a doctor’s waiting room — not the vibe I want when I’m trying to relax. That’s why I use lamps in every room of my home (even my kitchen!) instead. Dotting my space with smaller sources of light is so much easier on the eyes and creates a cozier, more inviting environment.

The more lamps the merrier, in my opinion, but there is a slight problem I’ve found myself running into. There are only so many outlets! Struggling to hide cords is another buzzkill. All my problems were solved, however, when I discovered the magic of these mini rechargeable lamps.

I bought this set of two teeny lamps last fall, and have fallen in love with them. The lamp itself is gorgeous and feels very luxe, and the glow it emits is soft and pleasant. It has both warm (my favorite) and cool light settings and a dimmer, and — the best part — it’s rechargeable. Because I don’t need to plug it in, I can put it anywhere. A dream! My husband and I keep one on our entryway table, and we especially love its cozy light first thing in the morning and after the sun sets.

The second lamp stays upstairs on my nightstand. I’ve swapped my regular lamp for the rechargeable one because I love the look of it, and my nightstand is an ideal spot for it to charge. I can keep the light a bit brighter if I’m upstairs doing laundry or tidying up, and dim it once it’s time to unwind before bed. Because the light can stay plugged in, I know I’ll always have a fully charged one at all times.

Perhaps the most fun part about having a little rechargeable lamp is that it can go anywhere, which saves us money by not having to buy several. The lamp we keep downstairs floats around — we love to bring it to our dining room table to make it feel like our own restaurant, or sometimes we’ll place it on the mantel or coffee table. If we ever need a little more light, or just want a bit more ambiance, we’ll take a lamp and move it around to see what we like best. It just goes to show how versatile and fun rechargeable lamps can be. I’m already planning on bringing them outdoors to our balcony once the weather warms up!

The only downside is they do have to recharge, so when I can tell the juice is running low, I either have to plug it in or run upstairs and grab the fully charged one on my nightstand. Nonetheless, these little lamps have my heart. I’m forever in pursuit of creating the coziest home possible, and these lamps make it easy.
