The Brand Behind My Favorite Tub Scrub Has a $10 Multipurpose Cleaner That Keeps My Entire Bathroom Sparkling
As one of the few places where I can get some precious Me Time, my bathroom needs to be kept in good condition. No one likes to go into their bathroom and have to step over towels or wipe down messes before cleaning themselves up for the day. I live in an old apartment, so there’s only so much I can do about the tub and tiles, but I try my best to keep them as pristine as I can. Its saving grace is a gorgeous countertop with enough space to decorate — and clean — generously. I’ve raved about The Tub Scrub from The Green Laundress, but that’s not the only gem this brand has to offer. Outside of my bathtub, I’ve been using The Green Laundress Multi-Purpose Cleaner to keep my bathroom counter and sink nice and clear so that I can spend less time straightening up and more time enjoying my morning and night routines.
The Green Laundress Multi-Purpose Cleaner is available in Autumn Always, Citrus, and Original, and I use the latter primarily for my bathroom counter and sink. Toothpaste, makeup, and the occasional clog can make my sink more than a little grimy over time — and the last thing I want to do is constantly scrub and scrub to get a decent clean. The cleaner uses a combination of distilled water, castile soap, citric acid, and essential oils that were chosen for their anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-fungal properties. It cuts through the residue from facial cleaners, makeup, and more that collects around my sink bowl, making it possible to wipe it away with a cloth without much effort. However, if you do need a deeper clean or one outside of the bathroom, this cleaner is effective for kitchen appliances, coffee stains, fitness mats, and more — including spot cleaning rugs and carpet. It also comes in three sizes: a travel-ready two-ounce spray bottle, the standard 16-ounce, and a gallon-sized container to last for the long haul.
Oddly enough, what I love most about Green Laundress’ Multi-Purpose Cleaner (aside from its effectiveness) is how it smells. The Original blend has a refreshing fragrance that’s not overpowering. It makes cleaning with it a pleasant experience, and it doesn’t leave a lingering sterile scent behind. For me, it’s also kind of nostalgic in that the aroma is familiar in a comforting way that I can’t place, but I recognize it somehow. It brings up thoughts of family.
I’ve used all of the products from The Green Laundress and none have steered me wrong. The Laundry Soap made my clothing smell fresh without artificial fragrance, and the Tub Scrub is still my go-to bathtub cleaner when it needs a big refresh. The multi-purpose cleaner has just been another tool in my arsenal for making sure my bathroom always has its best tile forward, and at $10 for a 16-ounce bottle, it’s an affordable pick from a small brand that you don’t find every day.
