This Outdoor Gem Is “Basically the Cutest Thing Ever” (It’s So Useful for Spring!)

There’s nothing quite like spring in New York City. This year feels particularly magical, probably because this past winter was absolutely gnarly. When the sun finally came out and we had our first 80°F day this past weekend, I counted myself among the hordes of New Yorkers that flocked to their nearest park.

It ended up being a picture-perfect outing, but there was one thing missing: a picnic basket. If I’m not tossing some random snacks in my tote bag before I make my way to the park, I’m usually picking up takeout. Neither is cute or very practical. I’m determined to up my picnic game this season, so I need to get all of my gear in order. I already have an outdoor blanket, so a picnic basket is my first order of business. Leave it to TikTok to get the most ingenious one I’ve ever seen on my radar!

Like the creator of the viral video, I never knew a picnic basket could be this advanced, but now that I know it exists, I won’t settle for anything less. The wooden lid transforms into a mini table, with metal legs that unfold and keep your food off of the ground. It even has built-in cupholders! The two plastic wine glasses included in the bundle are designed to fit perfectly.

The brand has truly thought of everything you could ever need, throwing in a bottle opener, two cutlery sets, and a salt and pepper shaker set. There are little straps in place to keep everything together and secure. The basket’s interior is lined with insulation to keep food and drinks at the right temperature, so no cooler is needed!

For $7 more, you can upgrade to the four-person version, which is the one that the creator shows in the video. I was instantly impressed by how much it appears to hold, but it doesn’t seem too clunky to tote around. The two fabric straps make it easy to sling on your shoulder.
