Featured during the show’s second season, the charming Laurel, Mississippi cottage at 1028 Euclid Avenue received a makeover from husband and wife team Erin and Ben Napier. The renowned renovating duo originally completed the project for a young married couple who relocated to the small southern town from Virginia. But as Erin shared on Instagram recently, the pair subsequently moved back to their home state for work, leaving the home up for grabs.
Listed at $185,000, the two-bedroom, two-bathroom bungalow style residence offers 2,018 square feet of space, which also includes a den/office area that can serve as a third bedroom. The Napiers’ signature handiwork can be seen in the kitchen, in which they added a farmhouse sink, tall cabinetry, a white subway tile backsplash, butcher block countertops and an eat-in banquette seating area. Prior to the renovation, the home’s front porch was closed and had white awning, but the redesign elevated it to an open air space with a freshly painted blue door and a pair of single-seat, custom swings crafted out of reclaimed pine lumber taken from inside the home.
While Erin told House Beautiful that the couple initially couldn’t visualize a TV show being filmed in Laurel, they’re prepared to take reality renovations a huge step further when they set out to give an entire town a new facelift in the highly anticipated HGTV six-episode spinoff “Home Town Takeover,” slated to premiere in 2021.
In the meantime, prospective home buyers can check out the listing to have a more up close and personal look at how the Napiers have transformed the cottage.
The new season of “Home Town” premiered on Jan. 20.
