There’s something magical about faux Christmas trees. Essentially, they’re the gift that keeps on giving, as you can use them for years to come without worrying about hunting for a perfect tree yet again. Over the years, many trees have gone viral, including The Home Depot’s pre-lit option. But there’s one HomeGoods product that’s rising in popularity — and it might be 2025’s “it” holiday tree.

@katelynshow If soulmate trees were a thing, she’d be mine!🌲 When I came around the corner and saw her in @homegoods yesterday I audibly GASPED! Tyler thought she’d be too big for the dining room but boy was he wrong. She fits like a GLOVE! Now I have to decide how to decorate her without taking away from her natural beauty! . . . #christmastree #viralchristmastree #artificalchristmastree #christmastreereview #christmas2025 @HomeGoods ♬ original sound – katelynshow

“If soulmate trees were a thing, she’d be mine!” Katelyn Showalter wrote in a recent caption on Instagram. “When I came around the corner and saw her in @homegoods yesterday, I audibly GASPED! … She fits like a GLOVE! Now I have to decide how to decorate her without taking away from her natural beauty!”

Why HomeGoods’s Faux Christmas Tree Stands Out

HomeGoods’ tree has a fairy-tale-like look thanks to its downswept branches. It mimics a Norfolk pine, which you can often find in small pots at your local grocery store or garden center during the holidays. But Norfolk pines are rarely larger than a few feet tall, whereas this faux tree is just over 7 feet.

“Now this is one I haven’t seen, and it’s perfect!!” one person commented on Showalter’s post. Another wrote, “Omgosh I love it! It’s giving the Grinch in the best way.”

Showalter also reported in the comments that this HomeGoods tree is a mystery, as the product didn’t carry any branding on its packaging when she bought it.

But there’s a similar downswept tree for sale on Wayfair right now. It comes pre-lit with LED lights and is flocked to give it a snow-sprinkled effect!

This HomeGoods tree is totally unique — it’ll absolutely make so many Christmas and holiday seasons feel a bit more whimsical. There’s just something about those downswept branches that gives it something special that no other tree (real or not!) can beat.
