Shelves are notoriously hard to build and install, at least in my opinion. But I’m about as far from a handyman as someone could get, and I simply don’t have the patience to figure out IKEA instructions. Plus, the shelves are deep, so you can really fit a lot on it — in my case, I’m sure my stand mixer, air fryer, coffee machine, and rice cooker would fit on the sturdy shelves just fine, with plenty of extra space left over. One reviewer confirmed my assumption, writing that “the shelves are nice and deep and tall enough to easily hold a microwave, instant pot, crock pot and most other kitchen needs. Add a couple baskets or bins and you can store all the small appliance accessories as well.”

And if you don’t need more counter space in your kitchen, this unit would work in any area of the house, whether it serves as extra storage in the garage or as a bookcase in the office.
