This Iconic IKEA Item Is Getting the Cutest Makeover for Halloween (It’s Only $3!)
While the rest of us are still enjoying our summer fun, those who live and breathe spooky season are already plotting and preparing for their favorite time of year. And IKEA is right there alongside them: The Swedish home store is debuting a brand new Halloween-themed shopping bag this year, and it’s absolutely going to be the “it” item of October.
IKEA may be known for its giant blue shopping bags, but the retailer is giving this classic design a ghoulish makeover for the fall. The new KUSTFYR bags are white with adorable little ghosts spotted all over the exterior, and they’re just $2.99.
Like the original FRAKTA bag, this ghost version features the iconic two-way handle situation that allows you to carry it either by hand or on your shoulder, and is a super roomy 19-gallon size. It’s made with a partially-recycled polypropylene material that can be wiped clean with a damp cloth, plus the entire thing can be folded flat for easy storage.
The ghost bag is part of a larger KUSTFYR Halloween collection that’s already dropped on IKEA’s website and in stores. The line includes festive decor items like printed skeleton throw pillows, an LED jack-o-lantern light, tufted cushions in orange and black, and a ghost throw blanket that will give the viral HomeGoods version a run for its money.
You can check to see if the ghost KUSTFYR bag is available at your nearest IKEA location, and if not, pick it up online to start celebrating spooky season a bit early this year. Just imagine all the Halloween candy you could collect in this thing if you used it trick-or-treating, too!
