As AT’s Senior Style Editor, I cover the latest interior design trends, expert decorating ideas, and must-see home products. Whenever I’m not keeping tabs on the next TikTok “core” or buzzy IKEA collection, I’m most likely reading, online shopping, or looking for the best tacos in New York (recs are encouraged).

IKEA is known for offering some of the best modern, big-ticket furniture buys on a budget, but the beloved Scandi brand is also an underrated shopping destination for smaller decor and lifestyle scores. If you’re on an IKEA excursion or browsing online, you’re probably laser-focused on picking out more foundational pieces (bed, couch, desk, etc.), so it’s easy to skim over the little things. From table lamps and textiles to glassware, though, there’s no shortage of unique, affordable, ready-to-shop finishing touches that honestly look so luxe, you’d never even guess they came from IKEA.

Because the company carries hundreds — if not thousands — of products, I took the liberty of picking out seven of my favorite IKEA little decorating luxuries under $50 then teamed up with Apartment Therapy’s Home Projects Director, Megan Baker Detloff, for some shopping reconnaissance on each of these finds. She got a chance to scope them out at the Milwaukee, Wisconsin, location to confirm that they are, in fact, even more wow-worthy IRL. Think: stylish water bottles (yes, you can get water bottles from IKEA), unique trays, cozy accessories, and more, meant to give your home — and life — a little design boost without breaking the bank. Best of all? Zero assembly is required, all across the board.

BASTUA Water Bottle
$13

IKEA just partnered with Marimekko on a limited-edition line, the BASTUA collection, and this water bottle (which I actually own!) has to be one of my hands-down favorite pieces. I’m a sucker for anything floral, but the real draw here is the built-in handle on the lid. This design feature makes it so easy to carry to spin class and back. It’s sizable enough to help me stay hydrated from warm-up to cool-down, too.

FRAMKALLA Tray
$8

For less than $10, incorporate a fun pop of color and pattern into any bar cart, kitchen countertop, or dresser tabletop via this wavy IKEA tray. It’s the perfect (and cutest) foundation for organizing perfume and beauty products or transporting cocktails at your next soireé.

INGABRITTA Throw
$25

It’s easy to see why this pretty-in-pink throw blanket is a top seller — it’s comfy, washable, and drapes well over any sofa, chair, or bed. This also comes in more neutral hues, like gray and off-white, plus bolder red and yellow options to match any interior palette.

BASTUA Scented Candle
$10

Another favorite from the IKEA x Marimekko collab, this candle checks all the boxes, thanks to its sculptural design and scent notes of elderflower, rhubarb, and vanilla. Once the wax fully melts (after 35 hours of burn time), keep the glass handy for a cool matchbook or trinket display, too. Not bad for less than $10!

POKAL Glass
$2

Everyday drinkware — but make it fun and fancy-looking. Each dishwasher-safe POKAL glass comes in a blue or pink tint and can handle both hot or cold drinks. Plus, you’d never guess they cost just $2.49 a pop. That’s right: Stocking up on a six-piece set (or however many your cabinets can fit) would only set you back about $15.

KRYDDBUSKE Cushion Cover
$10

Lean into (literally) the cozy, bouclé-inspired trend with this super-soft, pair-with-anything beige pillow cover. The texture feels fresh year-round, but you can swap out different pillow pairings from season to season.

GLATTIS Tray
$30

It’s amazing how much this brass tray instantly elevates, well, anything. There’s no shortage of styling opportunities and functions here, from a coffee table accent to one big jewelry catchall to a small plant platter (or all of the above — try moving it around!).
