This $10 IKEA Candle Accessory Is So Cute, Shoppers Are Buying More Than One
When winter rolls around, you have two options: Try not to let the darkness bother you (light therapy lamps, anyone?), or fully lean into the coziness that shorter days bring. If you’re going with the latter approach, investing in small lamps, twinkle lights, and candles can make your space feel so homey and warm. IKEA understands that completely — the store released a new tealight holder that’s perfect for hunkering down with during the colder months. And it costs less than $10!
What Is IKEA’s OMMJÄNGE Tea Light Holder?
From IKEA’s OMMJÄNGE line, which is inspired by Swedish folk art and furniture, this little tealight holder is designed to look like antique and vintage oil lamps. Both the shade and the base are mouth-blown glass, and the base is a gold-tinted color that makes the glow of the flame even warmer.
You can use the holder with or without the glass shade depending on the look you’re going for. The base measures five inches wide, and the shade is five inches tall, which makes it perfect for side tables, coffee tables, or even dining room tables. And like I said above, it’s only $10 (what a steal!). Of course people were jazzed about these lights.
“A beautiful little tealight holder that looks great, fits in anywhere, and matches any interior furnishings,” one IKEA reviewer wrote. “I have already bought several more to give as gifts/to bring home.”
Another IKEA shopper wrote the following: “Very pretty, makes a statement and is still simple.” And someone else mentioned that pairing scented tealights with the holders makes everything feel even cozier and more welcoming.
So if you want to lean into cozy energy this winter, pick up one of these $10 candleholders from IKEA to set the mood. The warm glow will get you ready for a long winter’s nap (or at least settling in with a good book and some hot cocoa).
