IKEA Built a 187-Square-Foot Tiny House, and You Can Win It
Put down what you’re doing and shine up your magnifying glass. You’ve been tasked with a scavenger hunt that could lead you to the tiny house of your dreams.
IKEA has built a 187-square-foot tiny home, customized and furnished entirely with IKEA pieces, and it could be yours if your keen eye catches all the clues IKEA is about to drop starting today, April 30.
Here’s how to enter: First, you need to become an IKEA family member, which is a free membership service that you can sign up for on the IKEA website. Next, follow @IKEAUSA on Instagram. It’s there where you’ll be able to find six puzzles that will be shared between April 30 and May 12. When solved, these puzzles will unlock six different letters that will reveal the secret password when put together.
Once you have the password, head over to www.ikea-usa.com/tinyhome between May 12 through May 14 to enter the password, your IKEA family member number, and submit a brief essay on why sustainable living is important to you. Finally, you’ll be entered to win the IKEA tiny home (with an aesthetic that’s anything but tiny).
“Every day IKEA explores new ways to make circularity more convenient and relevant,” an IKEA press release reads. “The IKEA tiny scavenger hunt is a way to prolong the life of the IKEA tiny home and allow one lucky customer the opportunity to cherish it forever.”
Keep your eyes peeled for the puzzles being posted on the IKEA Instagram and become the world’s best detective for your chance to win big (ahem, win tiny, that is).
