IKEA Just Revamped This Classic Kitchen Storage Collection with 17 New Finds

There’s a lot that I like about my apartment kitchen, but it’s definitely not perfect. It’s not tiny, but the cabinet situation isn’t great, so I’ve used up a lot of that space adding wire racks and other freestanding shelves. However, that hasn’t solved my clutter issue. In an effort to get my kitchen more organized, I’ve been trying to get more small storage containers for the shelves and drawers — and now that IKEA’s useful UPPDATERA collection has gotten even bigger, I have a lot more options to choose from.

The UPPDATERA collection at IKEA is an organizing collection that prioritizes function and storage. And while there are useful items for every room in your home, the line is mainly geared around the kitchen. There are utensil trays of all shapes and sizes, dish holders, drawer organizers and dividers, and a variety of storage boxes, including ones on sliders that can be mounted inside your cabinets.

This already-sizable collection just got even bigger, as there are 17 new UPPDATERA additions — mostly different-shaped utensil holders — up on the IKEA website, 14 of which are made from bamboo. That means you now have a whole lot of options to choose from. Some are very simple, like a 6″ by 12” single utensil tray (which can easily double as a catch-all tray), while others are spacious and multifaceted, like a 26” by 19.5” tray with 11 different compartments in three different sizes. Some utensil trays also come with an anthracite knife rack to store all of your chef’s knives. That’s not all: The new UPPDATERA additions also include small matte black and blue plastic storage boxes with carrying handles, and a 4” by 20” spice rack drawer insert that can help organize your seasonings or anything else that fits in its slots.
