Jennifer Hudson Has Columns In Her Living Room, and They’re Giving Major Regal Vibes
Regal-like interior decor is a trend that has resurfaced over the last year or so. Perhaps it’s because of hit royal shows like “Bridgerton“, which debuted on Netflix on Christmas Day 2020, or maybe people just want to feel a little more majestic at home—we’ve been spending a lot more time there, after all.
Christina Aguilera shared a snap of her red and purple room over the summer, while Rihanna showcased her purple velvet curtains, proving that both of the singers aren’t afraid of bold color and are fond of the regal look.
Now, Jennifer Hudson has treated her fans to a glimpse of her grand living room that features a set of columns. Yes, columns.
“Happy Thanksgiving from my family to yours ! I’m so thankful for His grace and mercy ! What are yal thankful for ?? I would also love to know what your Thanksgiving tradition is ! Tell me in the comments !,” she wrote in the caption of an Instagram post shared with her 3.3 million followers.
The living room has marble flooring, all-white walls, and floor-to-ceiling windows, but the standout feature has to be the four columns. The simple columns are classic in design, and the architectural detailing at the top gives them a striking finish. The towering decorative elements elegantly divide the rooms, adding to the opulence of the space.
Not the first time Hudson has shown to have regal style, in an interview on “The Ellen Degeneres Show” in 2012, she gave a look inside her impressive closet space that features deep purple sofas, marble flooring, and a seriously glamorous chandelier that takes center stage.
Hudson said that she wanted her closest to feel like a “boutique in SoHo”, so it’s no surprise that she spends a lot of time in the room. “Now I live in my closet!” she joked, as she confessed to DeGeneres that she even had a “closet party” to unveil the space to her friends.
