This Chic Wayfair Rug Solved One of My Tiny Apartment’s Biggest Problems (It’s Under $150)

Making my apartment feel like a real home was a long process. It took about six months after moving in with no furniture to give the all-white, clinical-looking space a cozy ambience. But even after my roommates and I fully furnished it, I’d say it wasn’t until we got an area rug for our common space that the place felt complete. I wanted something that would make my space look warm, so I chose the bark/natural color, which is a mix of beige and brown tones. I was also delighted to find that the rug’s vintage-inspired pattern looks just like the pictures, scalewise. As a result, it adds texture and coziness to my apartment’s common space without making it feel crowded the way the larger print used to. Its polyester material is also quite durable, having held up well in one of our heaviest traffic areas thus far. The only minor snag was a fiber that unraveled on one of the short tasseled ends, but I merely clipped it, and it was no longer a problem.
