Online learning platform, MasterClass, recently announced its new service, Sessions by MasterClass, a unique 30-day curriculum where members can get hands-on experience and learn meaningful skills through step-by-step guidance from some of their favorite names in interior design, cookery, beauty, and more.

The first talent to join the new program, chef Joanne Chang, teaches how to to create eight award-worthy bakes. Now, celebrity floral designer, Maurice Harris, joins the mix as he teaches students how to design five epic floral arrangements—a classic arrangement, table arrangements, wreaths, bouquets, and a signature arrangement.

“Without further ado I present to you my @masterclass !!!!! Can you believe it!!! I keep pinching myself that this is reality and what do you know it is! I have always wanted a way to help others cultivate their own vibe with flowers and I think we have found it! Please check it out,” Harris wrote in an Instagram post announcing the Session. I hope this class is fun and you walk away with a new level of confidence when it comes to your relationship with flowers!!! What have you always wanted to know about flowers? Can’t wait to spend time with y’all! See you in class! #dontbetardyfortheparty

Harris will offer fun and motivating step-by-step guidance, sharing his principles for creating stunning floral arrangements and bringing ideas to life. He will walk members through the essential tips for picking, processing, and arranging flowers, as well as how to consider color, texture, and dimension in every single design. The classes will start with single-stem arrangements, followed by table arrangements and seasonal arrangements, before ending with a show-stopping signature floral masterpiece that’s sure to take center stage at your next dinner party. It’s kind of like “The Great British Bake Off“, but for flowers.

“Maurice has built a career breaking boundaries in flower design with his work being featured in Vogue, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and Beyoncé’s Black Is King,” said David Rogier, CEO of MasterClass, in a press release announcing the Session. “In his session, he will offer hands-on guidance for creating several types of floral arrangements, from bouquets to seasonal wreaths, helping members express their personal vision of beauty through flowers and come away with five of their own custom creations.”

The MasterClass annual membership costs $180 per year, and members will receive unlimited access to classes and Sessions. Right now, new members can get two annual memberships for the price of one in the Black Friday sale, so now’s a great time to join if you’re thinking about learning a new skill to close out 2021.
