Meghan Markle’s Former Los Angeles Home Is for Sale for $1.8M
The Los Angeles area certainly has more than its fair share of famous homes and residents. Emma Stone’s Beverly Hills’ estate, Joseph Gordon Levitt’s vintage home, and Matthew Perry’s penthouse—just to name a few—have popped up on the market this year. And the latest celeb listing comes from someone who now holds a royal title: the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.
Markle once called the 2,262-square-foot house in the Hancock Park neighborhood home, which is now on the market for $1.799 million. With nearly 100 years of history, it comes with a lot more than a famous former resident, too.
The traditional exterior and manicured lawn gives way to a modern interior. It has four sunny bedrooms and three bathrooms that are all updated in Insta-worthy design. A few of the bedrooms feature walk-in closets and built-in storage, and one of the bathrooms is decorated with gray monochromatic tiles in a chevron print on the wall and complementary square design on the floor.
Back downstairs, the open plan of the first floor includes a massive living room with a fireplace that leads to the dining room and family room. Out back is a spacious backyard with a patio for entertaining and a garage. Plus, there are stainless steel appliances, white cabinets, and marble countertops in the eat-in kitchen. Can’t you just imagine Meghan whipping up her recipes for blog The Tig and sharing them with friends in this chic space?
“An L.A. home once rented by Meghan Markle has landed on the market,” said Erik Gunther, realtor.com celebrity real estate expert. “It’s a chance to be associated with the Windsors, even if it is tenuous. It’s better than nothing, though—the actress-turned-Duchess of Sussex lived comfortably in this charming home in the city’s quaint Hancock Park neighborhood.”
Meghan Markle rented this adorable abode and split her time between it and Toronto while filming “Suits.” It’s no Buckingham Palace or Frogmore Cottage, but her pre-Prince Harry days in Hollywood looked pretty sweet. Who’s to say living here won’t catapult the next lucky resident to a new life in the palace, too?
