Michaels’ $320 Pre-Lit Christmas Tree Won’t Stay in Stock For Long
December might not have arrived yet, but many Christmas-lovers are already decorating for the holiday with garlands, wreaths, and more. One of the season’s hottest buys? A pre-lit artificial Christmas tree from Home Depot that TikTok has been going wild for.
The bad news? If you didn’t manage to order one already, Home Depot’s Grand Duchess balsam fir tree is completely sold out in both the 9-foot and 7.5-foot sizes. But that doesn’t mean you can’t get the look of the balsam fir-style tree in your own home — you just have to know where to shop. And one surprising spot you can snag a look-alike tree is Michaels, the craft store you’ve likely shopped for paints, brushes, and other art supplies.

The 7.5-foot-tall pre-lit Fraser fir tree from Michaels has the same full, dark green look as the viral Christmas tree, and comes as four easy-to-assemble pieces that are all pre-strung with LED lights. The moveable branches make it easy to fill in any gaps as you set up your tree, so you can make it look extra full.
The only thing that the Michaels pre-lit Fraser fir lacks are the twinkle-effect lights, but that’s easy to fix by adding a string or two of sparkling LED lights (you can get those for under $20 at Amazon).
The Michaels tree is usually priced at $799.99, but for Black Friday the price is a steal at just $319.99. That means that even if you add a string light to that cost, it still comes in cheaper than the viral Christmas tree (which was priced at $399). But if you want to snag this tree, don’t wait — with the Black Friday price, not to mention free shipping, this tree might be the next to sell out.
