Two Extremely Cute Houseboats Are for Sale in Seattle for Under $300K
Every week, I have the joy of selecting a home to feature in Apartment Therapy’s Property Crush column. Some days it’s a hot pink shotgun house for sale and other days it’s a dazzling mid-cenutry home, but every time, it’s always a stunner.
This week, I had a lot of trouble deciding between two equally adorable houseboats on the market in Seattle. They’re situated on slips along the same street — Northlake Way — and are about a five minute walk away from each other. They’re also both listed for under $300,000, which indicates to me that two friends could go in on them and spend the rest of their days switching off having houseboat dinner parties every night.
So, I present to you: double Property Crushes.
The details

Why we have a crush on this property
Both houseboats for sale boast wood paneling, boosting their already-evident nautical charms. The main living and dining area in this home, though, is brightened by an abundance of windows, including a skylight. There’s room for a couch, coffee table, and a small desk or dining table. The kitchen cabinets have been painted a trendy shade of green, while the bedroom offers a twin bed and built-in shelves.
The boat has a new steel hull, plus storage space underneath the home’s bamboo floors. The bottom was also painted in 2020, which is a huge perk in the world of boat ownership. You can see the full listing by Susan Robinet with Keller Williams North Seattle here.

Why we also have a crush on this property
This boat offers an extra 200 square feet of living space — and makes smart use of them. The kitchen, complete with an island, overlooks the living area. A small dining table with seating for two, as well as a hutch, are also in the home’s main room.
A small set of stairs leads to the sleeping quarters, where you’ll find two elevated full beds and a walk-in closet. The sole bathroom is fairly spacious, too, with lots of counter space and a good-sized shower. There’s even more room for relaxing on the roof deck.
