This Popular Organizing Brand’s Stylish New Underbed Storage Set Completely Decluttered My Bedroom
Here at Apartment Therapy, we’ve got a thing for Instagram-famous DTC brands, and we’re always waiting for the next big launch that’ll help us brighten up our homes. One of our favorite sites for ultra-fun organizing finds is hands-down Open Spaces, which is known for so many covetable pieces including stylish bookends, a trendy entryway rack, and other sleek solutions that have leveled-up our tidying-up game. And today’s your lucky day because the brand just launched its redesigned Underbed Storage containers — and spoiler: They’re a total game changer.
This launch arrived at the perfect time as I’ve been in desperate need of hidden clothing storage in my bedroom. Don’t judge me, but I have a hand-me-down dresser that’s been broken since I’ve had it. As a result, I’ve had a stack of clothing piled on my floor with nowhere to go. I’ve had every intention to buy a new dresser, but Open Spaces’ Underbed Storage was a much faster fix.
The Underbed Storage from Open Spaces comes packaged as a set of two 18” x 28” canvas containers. I was so pleased when I opened the box and saw how big they were because I could immediately tell it was more than enough space for what I needed to put inside them. In fact, I could pack away even more than I originally planned! The storage bins are 8” tall once they’re unfolded, they zip fully closed, and they’re also padded with an enclosed panel on each side and the bottom to help preserve its boxy structure. They look like a soft suitcase, complete with accent stitching all around and a chic leather handle on one end, which makes it easy to pull them out from under the bed. What I love most is that these containers are so good looking, they double as home decor.
I’ve been wanting under-bed storage for a while now, but like everything else in my bedroom, I’ve had a hard time deciding which one was right for me. Another reason that I can’t stop raving about these Open Spaces’ Underbed Storage containers is that they’re completely closed but still breathable (a must for clothing), thanks to the natural canvas material. And because the zippers surround the entire bin, you can unzip it fully or partially if you only need to retrieve one particular item that’s within reach.
Not only are these containers made of high-quality material, but they’re also super roomy. I was wondering what to do with the second container because all my clothing fit into one. So, I decided to use the other for excess linens. I was seriously impressed that it could hold a couple larger quilts that were overflowing in my linen closet. I had no plans to declutter my linen closet while testing these bins, so this was an added bonus for sure!
I am absolutely thrilled with Open Spaces’ new Underbed Storage bins. My bedroom has been a work-in-progress since I moved in, and these bins instantly solved one of my greatest organizing problems in my bedroom (and then some). Now that my floor and shelves are clearer, I finally feel like my space is coming together.
