Oprah’s New Year’s Day Brunch Showcased Her Light and Airy Space

Oprah loves to give fans an inside look at her California home, frequently sharing photos and clips that showcase her space. From under sink storage to those lovely lounge chairs that appeared in Lady O’s iconic interview with Adele in November 2021, she’s a constant source of inspiration when it comes to home style.

To ring in 2022, she shared a video of her renowned New Year’s Day brunch, giving followers a glimpse of her reception room’s decor — and of course, all the yummy food that was on offer to her friends and family (where can I get an invite for next year?).

While the minute-long video’s main focus is the Flavor Bomb Chicken Sandwich — fried chicken sandwiched between two cheddar cheese biscuits with hot and honey dipping sauces — the clip also shows off the ethereal reception room where the brunch was held, complete with shutter-styled walls giving a rustic farmhouse feel while adding some texture to the space.

Painted all white, the shutter-styled design adds a light and airy feel to the room, while the doors feature floor-to-ceiling mirrors that open up the room and make the space feel bigger and brighter — perfect for when you’re entertaining a lot of guests.

Houseplants also play an important role in the room, with lush foliage adorning the majority of the space. On the mantelpiece, there’s an eye-catching flower and pine-filled garland, very similar to the holiday garland that covered Oprah’s staircase over the festive period.
