I’ve never truly camped out in the wilderness, but there have been several occasions when I thought a tent would come in handy. Against my better judgment, I’ve “camped” on the New York City streets to get the best view at a concert. When I first saw other fans setting up their tents, I realized I was seriously missing out — especially when the concerts fell during the winter months and a tent would’ve protected me from the freezing wind. Another instance when I find myself wishing for one? Every time I visit the beach.

My point is, even if you aren’t a regular camper, there are definitely moments when a tent is needed. If you’re in that boat, you likely don’t want to drop $100 or more on one — the price tag has kept me from buying a tent so far. However, as I was scrolling through TikTok, I came across the perfect solution from Five Below. In a viral video, two creators put the brand’s $15 tent to the test during their overnight camping trip in the woods.

“The tent is such a success,” the user says. “I fit perfectly sitting up and then lying down. It’s pretty much perfect.” Five Below’s items typically sell out quickly, and considering that summer is here, this item isn’t likely to be an exception. Hurry and check out all of the details below!

What Is the Two-Person Pop-Up Tent?

This tent is more than worth its $15 price. It measures a little over 6′ x 4′ and can easily fit two people. The creator of the viral video, who’s 5’5″, says that they can lie down in it comfortably. The video also demonstrates how simple it is to set up the tent. Once you remove it from its storage bag and unfold it, the tent is ready to go near-instantly after putting the stakes in the ground, which was impressive! In another video, they recommend adding a tarp if it rains, but even with that added cost, it’s still a fraction of the price compared to other tents. They commented that it “held up great” during their rain-less overnight stay, so it’s definitely suited to day-long lake or beach trips, or even backyard camping.

Regular camper or not, snagging this tent is definitely a good idea. There are so many pros — including that it takes up barely any storage space — that there shouldn’t be anything holding you back from scoring it this summer.
