When interior designer Sophia Boccard’s (@35agave) uncle passed away in 2015, his house, which is located in Mazatlán, Mexico, sat empty for a few years. That is, until she and her husband, Socrates Figueroa, owners of 35 Agave Co., bought it and set out to reimagine the home — including the kitchen. But first, they renamed the house (like they do with all of their properties) to Casa Justinanio in honor of her uncle.

Plus, it features the perfect paint color to blend old and new.

It feels so much larger.

The fresh color palette is inspired by nature.

“Facebook was 100% instrumental in this project,” this DIYer says of her ultra-budget-savvy project.

There are countless shades of pink.

“I love the green and pink color palette,” the homeowner says on Instagram. “In fact, I’d it picked out loooong before we ever got the keys to this house.”
