Color trends come and go, but it’s perhaps unsurprising that Barbie pink (now dubbed Barbiecore) never goes out of style. And while the vibrant hue is enjoying its current moment in the sun thanks to the upcoming live-action “Barbie” movie, Reese Witherspoon’s latest home renovation is reminding fans why orange — or any other color, for that matter — simply can’t compete with pink. And of course, it’s safe to say that Witherspoon’s famously pink-loving “Legally Blonde” character, Elle Woods, would definitely approve.

More than two decades after the beloved rom-com made it cool to view the world through rose-colored glasses (both literal and figurative), wear your heart on your sleeve, and personalize your resume with pink scented paper, Witherspoon herself is infusing the hue into her own home, showing off an extensive renovation to her space that took nearly two years to complete. Witherspoon partnered with Kohler on the lengthy project, and while she certainly achieved her goal of modernizing her family home, she paid homage to her iconic character by way of a splashy pink powder room with endless texture and whimsy.

In a post-renovation video tour, the actress (fittingly donning an all-pink ensemble) explains how she enlisted the help of Los Angeles-based design firm Bonesteel Trout Hall, with the all-female team of interior designers helping to bring her dreams to life. The updated rooms include plenty of modern touches like airy white hues in her kitchen and bathroom and rich black and gold tones in her husband’s bathroom, but it’s the couple’s powder room that would surely get the Elle Woods seal of approval.

Naturally, the luxe powder room is the space Witherspoon is “the most proud of,” as she shares in a video tour, adding, “I feel like this is so my personality.” Revealing what is definitely not too much of a secret, the Oscar winner shares, “I love pink, as you can tell.” Along with two different pink wallpaper prints both in the water closet and the sitting room, Witherspoon included a cushy pink chair next to the sink and a light fixture outfitted with the hue. She kept things both modern and classic by adding in mixed-metal brass fixtures, black-and-white checkered flooring, and stunning marble countertops.

Witherspoon loves that “powder rooms are a place to express your personality,” and enjoys welcoming friends over to peep the pink-toned space. “Bend and snap” not required, but highly encouraged here.
